CU*Answers does not support the HP DeskJet for use with CU*BASE. 
 
Because each printer manufacturer uses PCL (Printer Control Language) Code differently, we must fully test selected printer manufacturers and models to ensure they will work with our systems. Manufacturers do not adhere to a single standard and will often use PCL codes differently between models. This can cause a myriad of problems, such as how different drawers (upper, lower, one, two, three, manual), separator pages, fonts, and page orientation are handled, just to name a few.  
 
To ensure minimal problems and maximum compatibility, CU*Answers maintains a list of compatible, high quality, high speed printers. The list of CU*Answers compatible printers can be found online at  http://www.cuanswers.com/client_pm_bp_network.htm
 
Although it might be possible to set up a printer we have not tested and approved, CU*Answers cannot support the configuration or warrant it will work properly with all CU*BASE print functions.
