Session encryption protects member data better than ever by encrypting the information end-to-end as it traverses the network. From the mement the data leaves your PC to when it arrives at the host, it is secure and prontected from interception.
In 2007, we introduced the first round of communications-security enhancements, EncryptionPAK, which allowed you to encrypt all CU*BASE data from when it left your office network to when it arrived at ours.
We now offer full session encryption, which allows you to encrypt member information from the moment it leaves your PC until it reaches the host system at CU*Answers.
Why is this important? Protecting member information is a key objective and regulatory requirement for all credit unions. Session Encryption from CU*Answers offers another layer of security to ensure that credit unions can protect their members’ information.
What are the requirements to utilize session encryption?
Beginning May 1, 2013, we will be encrypting all CU*BASE GOLD sessions pre-installed on PCs purchased through CU*Answers Network Services.
For existing CU*BASE GOLD Sessions, CU*BASE session encryption requires:
- Windows 7 Professional
- A broadband Internet connection
- The latest version of IBM System i for Windows
- Minor CU*BASE configuration changes
