With the 17.10 Release we implemented changes to this process to not allow posting to accounts restricted by Account Security. 

Previously, Direct/Mail Post (Tool #341) did not have controls to prevent users from posting to accounts that are restricted, either because of an employee type code or special security restrictions.  (Employees could not view these accounts, but still had the ability to post to them.)

With this release we have added an additional layer of security that will disallow posting to these accounts, resolving the issues some credit unions had with allowing employees to access the tool while still having the restrictions needed based on their job description.  Now if a credit union employee is posting a batch via Direct/Mail Post they can no longer post to these restricted accounts. The batch cannot be posted until the restricted accounts are removed from the batch or until account restrictions are lifted by a credit union Security Officer. 

If a Security Officer wishes to allow an employee access to specific accounts for posting they may have to adjust that employee's setting on the account through Tool 327 CU*BASE Employee Security.
