First you will need to make some changes to your iSeries security settings. Contact the CU*Answers iSeries Administration team at
iSeriesAdmin@cuanswers.com for assistance.
We will also need to deploy a new CU*BASE login host screen onto your box. This does not require a CU*BASE GOLD update; once the host screen has been deployed then CU*BASE GOLD will automatically display a different panel to match the new host screen.
A few tips to keep in mind:
- Warn all of your employees that once the change is implemented, they should enter their existing password in all lowercase letters (no mixed casing, regardless of how they entered it before), then recommend they immediately change it to follow the new guidelines. The system won't require a change, but it is recommended to reduce confusion.
- Because the screen used for changing passwords includes tips on the password requirements, your iSeries settings will be set to the same ones that CU*Answers uses, so that your settings match these tips.
