It will change the member's dormancy status to "Suspended" and the account will appear on the daily "ACTIVITY ON DORMANT ACCOUNT" report which a CU employee should be monitoring. The activity must then be verified as part of the credit union's due diligence responsibilities against fraud.
If valid, the member can be manually deleted from the dormancy list. If the activity was not valid (such as something posting to the wrong account number), after it is corrected, the dormancy status should be reinstated for the member.
