CU*Answers hosts the solution and builds as much redundancy as practical into all critical networked systems.

  • We utilize redundant load-balanced firewall systems to ensure security devices do not have single points of failure.
  • The ASP e-receipt server systems are built with redundant power supplies to enable normal operation in the event of a power supply failure. All ASP systems are connected to our survivable power grid featuring robust UPS systems and natural gas generators with auto transfer switches. We test our generators weekly for proper operation.
  • We use redundant disk arrays in all eDOC ASP systems for best performance and so that no single hard drive failure will cause a service interruption or loss of data.
  • All systems run anti-virus software, updated hourly, and deep scanning in real time. Both network and host-based intrusion detection systems are employed as are intrusion prevention systems operating up to layer 7. Systems are monitored by our Network Operations Center and system log files and status are reviewed by administrators daily.
  • We use multiple web server systems to provide load balancing and fail-over to help prevent service interruption should a web server experience a failure. All systems are backed up to network attached storage daily and backup copies are stored off site. Finally, support contracts with critical vendors are maintained with four hour parts and labor response parameters.
