Well, the short answer is no.  When we designed the teller screens, it was about more than just aesthetics.  The new configurable check holds are very flexible and require complex calculations that must be done in a systematic way in order to set the proper holds.  The only efficient and effective way to accomplish this is via a separate screen that contains all of the appropriate fields, warning messages, and calculations.

(And besides, even if we could find a way to do it, how many fields is "just a few?"  3 checks each? 4 each? 12 each?  3 outside and 2 in-house?  4 outside and 3 in-house?  You see the dilemma.  Whatever number we picked, someone would always want just a couple more...)

So you can either use the single outside checks field that is on the Teller Posting screen to enter a total of all checks received, or press the command key or alt-key shortcuts to quickly access the new full-size check input screens.
