This a known Windows bug that occurs when corrupted documents are stuck in the local Windows printer queue. To fix the issue, you will need to clear those documents out of the queue.
- You will need to be logged into the PC with local administrative rights.
- Click on Start, click on Run, and type "net stop spooler" (without quotes).
- When you click OK, you should see a black box briefly open. The print spooler is now ended.
- Open My Computer.
- Browse to C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS on Windows XP, or C:\WinNT\system32\spool\PRINTERS on Windows 2000.
- Delete all the files in this directory.
- Close the My Computer window.
- Click on Start, click on Run, and type "net start spooler" (without quotes).
- The black box will briefly appear again and the print spooler is now started again.
- Reboot your PC.
