Unwanted Topaz Systems Driver files may be located in a few different locations depending upon which version of windows you have.  You will likely need to be logged on as a local administrator to remove them. They can exist on any workstation running ProDOC regardless of whether or not a signature pad is attached.

For Windows 7 or 8

The current version in use should be located here: "C:\Windows\SigPlus\SigPlus.ocx" and should not be removed. Before you begin make sure this is version 4.4.0.22 or newer. (See KB#4186 below) If this is not in place and you remove the old driver files, you will get ProDOC errors. Once you verify this is in place you can proceed to the next steps.

If  you have a 64 bit system:

Older versions will be located here if they exist: "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\" and should be removed due to vulnerabilities:  (Note: not all these files may exist.)
The files you should delete are:
SigPlus.ocx
SigPlusHSB.ocx
SigSign.ocx

If you have a 32 bit system:

Older versions will be located here if they exist:"C:\Windows\System32\" and should be removed due to vulnerabilities:Note: not all these files may exist.
The files you should delete are:
SigPlus.ocx
SigPlusHSB.ocx
SigSign.ocx

After removing these files you should test your signature pad with ProDOC. If it doesn't function properly you will need to install the current version of the drivers for the signature pad found here: updates.cubase.org
