We determine this information one of two ways:
- Either the vendor sends us a specific indicator for pinless PIN, or
- If no indicator is available, we look at a combination of fields within the online message from the vendor to make the determination.
Currently you can view this data on the
Recorded Card Activity detail screen in CU*BASE:
- Launch Tool #156: ATM/Debit Cards & Activity Inquiry (you can also use Tool #11: ATM/Debit Card Maintenance)
- Enter an account base
- Choose a card in the list and select Activity
- Select an item and choose Select to proceed to the detail screen
- Look in the "Net ID" field for PNL, which designates a pinless PIN transaction
Coming later in 2021, we will begin populating a new Pinless PIN field in the TRANSx record, so that you'll be able to use Query to look at all transactions which have been marked that way.
