We determine this information one of two ways:
  • Either the vendor sends us a specific indicator for pinless PIN, or
  • If no indicator is available, we look at a combination of fields within the online message from the vendor to make the determination.
Currently you can view this data on the Recorded Card Activity detail screen in CU*BASE:
  1. Launch Tool #156: ATM/Debit Cards & Activity Inquiry (you can also use Tool #11: ATM/Debit Card Maintenance)
  2. Enter an account base
  3. Choose a card in the list and select Activity
  4. Select an item and choose Select to proceed to the detail screen
  5. Look in the "Net ID" field for PNL, which designates a pinless PIN transaction

Coming later in 2021, we will begin populating a new Pinless PIN field in the TRANSx record, so that you'll be able to use Query to look at all transactions which have been marked that way. (Project #53260 will be implemented sometime during the summer/early fall; date TBD.)
