Is Loan Manager specific to targeting & marketing loan products to authenticated members?
Yes! The existing Legacy Loan Application was originally designed for both members & non-members and was universal to all loan types. The new Loan Storefronts & Web Modules are being developed within our web & mobile app online banking flagship solutions. This allows credit unions to target their existing members towards specific loan products. When used together, they provide a faster, more convenient way to apply while improving security and user experience.

What are Loan Storefronts?
Storefronts are new customizable landing pages for marketing and categorizing loan product types within an authenticated online banking session...they are an alternative marketing option to the existing Loan Rate Board web module. They can be linked from anywhere in online banking, including banners, and directly from your credit union website. (Log in to your CU Publisher account to see examples of the credit card and loan applications.)

What are Loan Web Modules?
Storefronts offer your credit union a platform to sell and market loans effectively. Loan modules provide a quicker and more efficient way for your authenticated members to apply for these loans. Each loan module is specifically designed and developed for its respective loan type, ensuring a customized experience for every application.

Will this require building Loan Storefronts for both desktop web and mobile app banking?
No. When you create a storefronts page, you are building it for all platforms. They only need to be created once and can be easily updated in one location (Loan Manager), making it convenient to market loans to your users on desktop and mobile apps.

Is the current Loan Rate Board going away?
No, the Loan Rate Board shows all loan products configured to display in online banking in Tool #470 Loan Product Configuration. As we phase in the various Loan Storefront & Application Web Modules, the existing Loan Rate Board can and should still be utilized. Once all phases have been deployed, the Loan Rate Board will likely be adapted to point to the new loan modules.

Will I still use Tool #470 to set up our loan product for online banking?
Absolutely. Tool #470 is essential for configuring what can appear on the storefront and how the application is submitted to CU*BASE. Both the Loan Rate Board and the storefronts are designed to utilize the same loan products. If you remove a loan product from the Loan Rate Board, you must also remove it from all storefronts.

Can I use Loan Storefronts to display loan products I don't have configured in Tool #470?
Yes, Loan Manager lets you create loan product cards for any purpose. Each product card can be configured to link to a third-party URL or a custom form created with CU Publisher's Form Generator.

Will non-members still use the Legacy Loan Application?
Yes, prospective members will still use the current Legacy Loan Application. We have recently updated its user interface and added the option to preview and modify branding directly within Loan Manager.

My credit union uses a third-party solution for loan applications. Is there a role for Loan Manager in my credit union?
Yes. Many third-party (LOS) solutions focus on members or potential members outside of online banking. Loan storefronts can direct authenticated users to these solutions, or both can be utilized to offer authenticated members a more integrated user experience and faster application process.

Will loan modules end up replacing the existing (legacy) loan application?
Stay tuned. As we look to significantly improve our account opening software, our eventual goal is to utilize these new modules.
