This occurs because of the display resolution on your computer. You have two options:

 

1) Use GOLD in the window without maximizing it; it works perfectly well this way.

 

2) Alt-click on your desktop, click Properties, go to the Settings Tab, change the screen resolution setting to 1024x768. This will cause the GOLD session to fit your screen, as the application was designed for this display resolution. You will need to set your taskbar to auto-hide when displaying full screen in order to view messages in GOLD. NOTE: you will lose overall resolution by doing this, and on flat panel displays you may be switching to a resolution inappropriate for the display.
