At the current time this feature still uses a standard set of options to denote a member's contact preference.  Options are as follows:

Email
No Preference Selected
Online Banking Message
Phone (This is meant to indicate that the credit union may use any phone number associated with the account.)

These are general terms and do not relate to the custom labels that can now be assigned to all contact numbers stored for a member.  In future releases we will be revamping this feature to allow your credit union to more precisely record a member's contact preferences, all the way down to the individual contact number on file for that member.  In the meantime, use this as a general tool to allow the member to state his or her preferences, and instruct your teams how these labels relate to the ones you create for the phone number database.
