With changes that were implemented with the 21.12 release, in both Xpress Teller and Member Inquiry you'll use a separate field strictly for name searches (member name and organization name, NOT including DBA name). To narrow down your results you can choose whether to include both individuals and organizations in the results, or just look at organizations or individuals separately.

Here's how it works:
  • If you enter a single word into the name search field, CU*BASE will show all records where that word was found in the last name.
    • Assuming you've set the "Include" flag to Both, you'll also see all records where that word was found in the organization name.
  • If you enter two words into the name search field, CU*BASE will show all records where the first word was found in either the first or last name field and where the second word was also found in either the first or last name field. (You can type JANE DOE or DOE JANE and get the same results.)
    • Assuming you've set the "Include" flag to Both, you'll also see all records where both of the search words were found in the organization name.

TIP: Remember that if you want to look for a DBA name, you must use the "Other" search field. You can use Advanced Search to look only at DBA names if like, but otherwise you'll be searching for content in other places we well, including email address and online banking username.

TIP: Remember that all searches look at joint owners/beneficiaries as well as primary member names.

TIP: If you are using Xpress Teller, after running the search CU*BASE will automatically remove any items where the Relationship column reads "Non-member."  (You might still see those same people but with a relationship of Joint or Beneficiary, where applicable. You just won't see any non-members that don't have any type of relationship links to any of your members.) If you run the same search in Member Inquiry you will see records for those non-members.
