On the Share Draft/Checking Account Update screen use the Dividend Post Code field to stop an account from earning dividends. There are three options for this field:
  • Leave the field blank for the account to earn dividends normally
  • Enter an 'N' to stop the account form earning dividends for this period only.After dividends are posted for the period, the system will automatically reset this field back to "blank" so that dividends will be earned as normal.
  • Enter an 'X' if the account should not earn dividends. This code can be used as a "permanent" flag to indicate that dividends should never be earned on the account.
