The currently-supported check printing method is an external Check Secure unit and Check Secure card directly attached to a networked laser printer.

The Check Secure card is inserted into the Check Secure unit, an external box about six inches deep, eight inches wide, and about an inch tall with a separate power supply.  A print cable (male Centronics micro-36 Parallel to DB25 Male IEEE 1284 rated cable) is run from the printer port of the Check Secure device to the networked printer.
  • NOTE: See the link below for best practices on currently-recommended network laser printers.
The internal check module with the shuttlecock cartridge is no longer supported. If you have this model and it fails, you will have to convert your logo and signature files and procure one of the newer external units. There may be a delay during this process, so you should plan accordingly.
