The most important thing to remember is that the date you enter is just a target, not a true filter. Because transactions must be listed in the order in which they were posted (in order for the resulting balances to make sense), the list will always “try” to put the date you’re looking for at the bottom of the screen of 16 transactions you’re viewing. The number of transactions that account has, hitting page up or down, switching between debits only and credits only, showing all or checks only, etc., will alter that delicate balance and then you might need to shift the screen a bit to get to the one you want.
