If I click on the "Skip a Payment" feature from the main list of favorite accounts, why do I go to a list of loans and have to click that same loan account again?
This is one of the trade-offs of our underlying module architecture. Modules let us create completely self-contained features -- skip-a-pay is just one example -- that can then be linked to from anywhere else in the application. You might want to promote something via a banner add, or put it on your feature of the week menu, or even add a link from the master menu. But in order for that to work, the module must be able to function even if it's not coming from a list of loan accounts. We ca More...

I have activated the Flex Loans feature. When my member adjusts their term online, they are not seeing all available terms as expected. Why could this be the case?
Flex Loans allows members in It’s Me 247 to request a change in the term of their loan which results in a payment change. This is permitted on configured products with monthly payment frequencies. The loan modification request can be immediate if the member is qualified and your credit union activates auto approvals. Otherwise, the member’s request is sent to the LOS loan queue ( Tool #2 Work/View Loan Application Status ) to be approved or denied by your loan officer. While using More...

Is there an easy way to find out members who do NOT have a specific loan type yet? I'd like to see what opportunities there are to sell more of our credit cards, or mortgages, or whatever.
There are multiple ways to do this, but here's one of our favorite methods. Launch Tool #1855 Lending Opportunities Dashboard Use the Loans to Analyze button Choose a loan type from the list (Auto Loans, Mortgages, Credit Cards, Unsecured, or Other Secured) and use Enter to return to the dashboard The top two thirds of the screen shows statistics from your portfolio for that type of loan The bottom third of the screen will show opportunities, divided into two groups: members without that More...

I created a new package and saved a couple documents, before I realized a package had already been started for this loan. Is there a way to combine the packages or move the documents I saved incorrectly?
If you have two packages you want to merge, you'd have to delete one of them, and then use the add existing button in the remaining one to associate the saved documents with it. When deleting the unwanted package, the system will ask you if you want to delete the saved documents associated with it. Make sure you don't delete them! In the remaining package, you'll highlight the missing document you want to add and click the Add Existing button. This will bring up a search window. More...

One of my members is having trouble opening the loan coupon PDF from online banking via Chrome. She gets this error message from Acrobat Reader: “There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.” Any tips?
When you click the Print Coupon button from Chrome, the file will be shown along the bottom edge of the screen in the downloads bar. This means the file has been successfully downloaded to a default folder on your PC. If your browser is set up so that PDFs are automatically opened using Acrobat Reader (browsers typically have a plugin or their own built-in reader as the default, but you can change it), you can try an alternate method to open a downloaded PDF when Acrobat Reader can’t: In More...

How does the new membership denial of service fraud block list work? Is the employee blocked from opening a new membership for the member? What happens when a match is made to an entry on the new membership denial of service fraud block list?
You can add an entry to the new membership fraud block list as an individual or organization. This fraud block list is different than other service denial lists in that it allows you to enter a name on the list without a Social Security Number. See more about the rules for adding a name to the new membership list in the other topic linked to this Answer Book item. This fraud block list is designed as a supplement to the “Deny Membership” check box available on the non-member recor More...

I noticed a value in the "Int accrued since write-off" field on a written-off loan, but that amount doesn't match what I would have expected, since this loan was written off a few years ago.
Remember that this new value only started being calculated with the implementation of the 22.05 release in May of 2022. However, if you had been tracking this manually via a spreadsheet since write-off, use these steps: Launch Tool #1030 Write-off/Chart-off Loan History Maint Enter the written-off loan account number Calculate the sum of whatever amount appears in the Int accrued since write-off field now plus your tracked figure, and enter that total into the field Click Update (F5) to More...

Documents from GOLD are printing to the wrong tray.
Tray assignments are controlled by a combination of the model in the CU*BASE library, the print session configuration, the Windows driver, and the settings on the printer itself. Let's break down how each affects it first: Model in library - each model defines the PCL code that CU*BASE appends to the print job for duplex and trays. If the wrong model is selected, the wrong PCL may be pushed with the print job. It is also important to have a supported printer , otherwise CU*Answers cannot More...
