I just got a new laptop and when I try to log in to CU*BASE GOLD it takes several minutes, and then I get an error message, "Cannot Connect() to server."
This can happen if you have the Launch ProDOC when logging in option turned on in your Preferences (click the Preferences button or use F5 while on the CU*BASE Home page), if the workstation you are using does not actually have ProDOC installed. ProDOC is installed locally, but your CU*BASE GOLD preferences are attached to your CU*BASE employee ID, which means they are used no matter which device you are using to log in. Usually that's a good thing, but if you happen to use a workstation More...

Members or joint owners applying to open a membership via the online Membership Opening Process (MOP) are appearing as applications in Tool #13: Work Online Bankg Apps/Requests. Why isn't a new membership opened automatically?
Membership applications that have the same SSN as one already on file (either the applicant or joint owner) will be submitted as an application for the credit union to work. Since the system has no way to know whether the new data is for the same or a different person, these will require extra attention since if they are accepted, the data submitted in the application (such as address or phone number) will override personal data saved to the membership or non-member record that is already saved More...

Why does CU*BASE show delinquency in two different ways? In some places it is months/days and others it is actual number of days.
There are two methods used to track delinquent loans for reporting purposes in CU*BASE: Method One (for Collections tracking) We have always tracked delinquency in two separate fields for “Months” and ‘Days” in the member files. When a loan is 30 days delinquent, it shows as “0 Months, 30 Days” delinquent. When a loan is 31 days delinquent, it is “1 Month, 0 Days” delinquent. A month is always considered 30 days regardless of the actual number o More...

A black screen shows up instead of the video when I go to watch an online course video on the OnDemand site. Can you help?
This will happen if you do not have access to YouTube, which hosts the videos found on the CU*Answers OnDemand site. To fix this problem, ask the IT person or network administrator at your credit union to enable access to YouTube. Another reason could be your browser. If you are having trouble witha particular video, try re-launching it using Internet Explorer rather than Chrome or other browser. The reason we are putting online course videos on YouTube now, instead of on our own server as More...

If I use the Channel Activity by Member Age Group dashboard (Tool #200) and choose the ATM/Debit (PIN) Processing and Debit (Signature) Processing channels, how is the data gathered?
This tool gathers data from a summary table called MATRXSUM. This summary table is created each month from data in TRANS1, TRANS2, and TRANS3. It simply counts all transactions based on their transaction Origin Code (TRORIG). So if you selected those two channels you'd see a count of all transaction records with an Origin code of 13 (for ATM/PIN activity) or 16 (for debit/signature activity).
