This comes from the Workstation Device Configuration in CU*BASE. To view or change this: Launch Tool #326 CU Hardware Configuration Select Terminal/Workstation In the list of workstations, locate the ID of the workstation you are looking up and double click on it (or just type the ID and press Enter) This will open up the terminal's configuration in CU*BASE. I have just set up a printer for printing loan documents. However, the forms are not duplexing. I can print Windows jobs that duplex, but not CU*BASE.
First check the device configuration to make sure CU*BASE knows the printer is capable of duplexing. Using Tool #326 CU Hardware Configuration, choose P for Printer and double-click on the printer ID. The Duplex setting should be checked. If this setting is already correct, you will need to contact a Systems client service representative and we will verify that the Duplexing option is set to Yes in the credit union configuration library for that printer model. (Keep in mind that this may no More...

If our tax forms are uploaded to "It's Me 247", how will members who are not enrolled in eStatements receive their tax documents?
Regardless of whether a member is enrolled in eStatements, the member will receive a paper copy of their tax documents in the mail, provided they earned enough dividends (or paid enough interest) through the tax year to qualify for a tax form. The presentation of tax documents in the My Documents section of It's Me 247 is an additional convenience that makes the forms readily available online, often earlier than they are provided by via mail. If you are not currently offering this feat More...

What are the differences between an online ASP and in-house e-document strategy?
The differences ultimately come down to control and cost. The online ASP system is the fastest, simplest, most inexpensive way to get started with an e-documents strategy for your credit union. With online ASP you offload the back-end service management headaches to CU*Answers. We manage, backup, secure, and patch/upgrade the eDOC servers and databases and these processes fall under our SAS 70 and third party security audits. The online ASP system consists of electronic storage of receipts, loan More...

Can I print DBA names on statements and other documents?
Your credit union can elect to print the DBA name instead of the primary member name on all standard (non-custom) correspondence (use the link below to see the list of documents). This flag will be turned off by default. With the CU*BASE 9.2 release (August 2009), this flag is set as part of the Membership Designation code configuration, which means that you can set it differently depending on the type of membership. For example, you might want to use the member's name on most memberships More...

How do I process a corporate check or money order that is appearing with my daily member share draft exceptions?
Infrequently, a CU may find a corporate check or money order appearing as an INVALID ACCOUNT on their daily member share exceptions. Then, they will want to delete the item from their exception list/file by changing the status of the item from an 'A' (Active) to a 'D' (Delete) - the item will rem More...

Documents from GOLD are printing to the wrong tray.
Tray assignments are controlled by a combination of the model in the CU*BASE library, the print session configuration, the Windows driver, and the settings on the printer itself. Let's break down how each affects it first: Model in library - each model defines the PCL code that CU*BASE appends to the print job for duplex and trays. If the wrong model is selected, the wrong PCL may be pushed with the print job. It is also important to have a supported printer , otherwise CU*Answers cannot More...

Are there any rules about how I should scan documents into the CU*Spy image vault?
Yes. Since this vault is a shared resource, it's important that we all do our part to keep it running as efficiently and smoothly as possible for everyone who uses it. One of the ways to do this is to use appropriate settings when scanning hard-copy documents in to be stored in the vault. For photo IDs , the rules are baked right into the CU*BASE software, so if you scan an ID, the ProDOC system will automatically optimize the image to use grayscale, 100 dpi resolution, and a scan size of More...

Do the Deposit Secured loan products require that joint owners sign documents? Does it evaluate loans against community or marital property laws?
No. Secured loans do not look to joint owners, community property, or marital property laws. The loan documents will not require, ask for, or accept a second signature. Your credit union may wish to review your Member/Loan Documentation to ensure they are still in compliance with the product. You may decide to use a unique certificate type for CD Secured loan products or a unique dividend application for your Share or Share Draft Secured loan products.

When a device first connects to the iSeries, a virtual device is created - consider it a placeholder for that workstation or printer. Throughout the virtual devices lifecycle, there are several different statuses that device can be in. Read below for some details! A member did cash transactions in excess of $10,000; however, the CTR form did not pop up in teller processing for the teller to complete the form when the transaction occurred. Why did this not happen? Is it because there were multiple transactions completed at the same time?
The CTR did not populate because the system calculation can combine only those transactions that were posted at the same time. In this particular situation the member had seven deposits within a few minutes of each other where the total amount calculated under his Social Security number exceeded the credit union configured CTR flag amount over $10,000. None of the individual amounts he deposited, however, exceed the $10,000. The total excess of $10,000 calculated placed him on your BSA monitor More...
